Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based mental health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Medical Director to provide leadership and clinical supervision to MDs and APRNs in our Community Support Program (CSP). The CSP Medical Director will also provide clinical leadership to multi-disciplinary treatment teams who treat adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a visible leadership presence in the clinical program
Provide clinical supervision to MDs and APRNs in the program
Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and CSP Program Director in creating, revising and implementing agency policies and procedures
Work with the Chief Medical Officer to oversee medical practices in the program
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and make clinical formulations and diagnoses
Use assessments in the development of an appropriate psychopharmacological treatment plan
Review and authorize treatment/service plans with client and family-driven goals and objectives
Consult with other Riverbend providers, family members and significant others, and community providers.
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) to document patient information, referrals or other relevant information as required.
Adhere to all compliance procedures relevant to protected health information (PHI) and HIPAA regulations.
Participate in and/or provide training related to this position.
Participate in an on-call rotation involving weeknights and weekends for a 15-bed inpatient unit and Riverbend Emergency Services (rotated among 10 providers – approximately 5 weeks per year). On-call work is paid at an additional rate.
